As we welcome the year with hope and gratitude, the Ma. Teresa Charity Foundation, Inc. conducted a gift-giving activity on December 29, 2024, in the Municipality of La Castellana, Negros Occidental. This event was especially meaningful as it supported families affected by the eruption of Kanlaon Volcano. A total of 2,132 families from 11 evacuation centers in five barangays—Biak na Bato, Cabagnaan, Masulog, Mansalanao, and Sagang—were reached.
We were honored to provide sanitary kits containing essential items such as tissue, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and shampoo to help ease their burdens during this difficult time.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the generous sponsors who made this event possible: Kenneth Construction and General Merchandise, RKVT Construction, and Senator Imee Marcos. Your kindness and support truly made a difference.
We would also like to extend our deepest appreciation to the local government unit of La Castellana, especially Hon. Alme Rhummyla G. Nicor-Mangilimutan, whose leadership ensured the success of this initiative. A special thank you also goes to the volunteers, staff, and personnel who supported the operation.
Together, we stand with the people of La Castellana, hoping for a better future and continuing to be resilient despite the challenges they face.
